Friday March 5th, 2010

Ended up taking 2nd in World Holdem Leauge last night.

Also ended up taking 2nd in Sly Dawg Poker. Managed to pick up a 10k ticket for my 2nd Place finish. Dished out a 3 outer to go into top 3.

Thursday March 4th 2010

Took a nice win down at Reefer. Everyone does not get why I play 44 so heavy.

Ended up with a win

Could have ran better in the steps I played. Just no lucky. Andy took 2nd in a 2k at UB for a pretty nice cash.

3/2/2010 HOLDEM Tournament 5120657 $2.00 (Bounty)
3/2/2010 HOLDEM Tournament 5120657 $2.00 (Bounty)
3/2/2010 HOLDEM Tournament 5120657 $2.00 (Bounty)
3/2/2010 HOLDEM Tournament 5120657 $15.80
3/2/2010 HOLDEM Tournament 5123054 $18.00

Took 2nd place to my friend the Volcano in the Poker Cartel Bounty....Managed a few Ko's and a decent cash.

I ended up running up about 320k in chips in the 5k $1 R/A at UB. I end up trying to isolate A5d who shoved all in with AK. Being that AA was in the hands of someone who had already over 1 Million in chips in the Big Blind...You Know who wins this pot..............................................................................................................Your wrong A5 gets turn river diamonds to beat AA, but I still get KOed. Only spent $4, so $18 was not too bad 4.5xROI - Tax.

Took down 4th place over at Slydawg, Its was not all too special.

My lucky tonight on the cash tables did not really see any profits. I was up a nice $25 pretty early in the day. But as the night went on I lose 5 of 8 hands where my opponent is drawing to 5 or less outs. Either all in preflop, or on the river. Not much you can do. I end up within $2 of being even on the day over at JRP.

Monday March 1st 2010

It's a really cheap tournament that I always love to win into. Big prize pool. If you are not in it, you should be. I will be trying to satellite into a few of the Mini Ftops, Let me know if you are getting into any. They are Nice big Prize pools, and cheap buy ins.

I also really kicked some tail tonight at Jolly Roger Poker . Not only did a take a few Euros out of this game, but really hammered the cash tables. Doubled my account, and managed to make a transfer. If you are looking for that new site to add to your list this is the place to go. Most of the players are foreign, and I seem to be doing pretty well. Remember my bonus code is FL2000. If you have any issues just let me know I can help you get everything squared away.

Sunday Februray 28, 2010

I ended up taking 9th tonight. $10 not really that impressive. But I end up doing really well in the overall leader board.

I also end up in 4th tonight in Slydawg once again not that impressive, but look where it finished me in the overall leader board over there.

I end up losing to 44 with 66 to a 4 card flush in the 200k at FTP....dude calls off 2/3rds of his stack all in preflop with 4's...its poker. I lose with AA in the dime to KQ.

Saturday Februrary 27th, 2010

Excellent game played by me. I was short stacked early gambled with a flush draw, and it hit. Played Short Stacked until late in HU. I went into HU as a 4:1 Underdog. Managed to check raise his high continuation betting percentage to pick up some chips, and then he ended up shoving k10 into my QQ preflop. (I limped and set a trap.)

I also won the 4king poker games, as you can see from the post before this.

On the late night I ran one satellite to The Dime 10k tournament at UB and I won that also. Once again extremely short stacked and managed to out play my opponents when it really mattered.

Also jumped over to Jolly Roger Poker and made around 45% of my buy-in.

I don't know if Ill run anything else tonight. Its 1:32, and I am sure I could use the rest for tomorrow.

My Crew Cup team played really well tonight, but since we were too many points from Top 4 even though we passed two teams....we needed to pass three.

I still need to pick up a few more tickets for tomorrow. Maybe I will do that when I wake up.

PokerOrifice.....I am not a liar....

So PokerOrifice before you think you're tracker is 100% correct.....How about you not stick your foot in your mouth. You have been playing a long time to not know that all those trackers have leaks everywhere. No offense but taking 5th this game was really not worth your time, making a good fold with 99 would have put him in 3rd easy....quite potentially he would have won that game.

If you have enough chips to float to top 3 do you call with 99 when someone shoves all in preflop?

Almost always you are either flipping or dominated, with the very rare chance that they are shoving a lower PP....Calling off 2/3s of your stack preflop with 99 is not a good play....its a risky one.

I end up winning the 4king game. Awesome HU vs Jeffsbabe, she always puts up a A game fight...I think we were in HU for about 2 blind rounds...which is impressive in a $1 game.

Februrary 25th, 2010

Pretty nice night at UB...I couldn't believe they were NOT trying to set me up.

Aside from that I woke up really late so I did not get much done. I ran over to Jolly Roger Poker for a few HU games and went 2-0, I am really starting to like this site. Maurice hit me up on the late night to get into a 6.60 KO ended up with 1 KO, but we both got KOed in top 18. We both ran into some problematic hands, and I was severely short stacked and faced by an all in from a guy who had been all in 3 times prior in a row....Figuring I was pretty live, I got it in.

Monday Februrary 23rd

Won the $150 guarantee tonight.

I was short stacked the whole time, but when I picked up a chip lead late I did not donk it off. In HU only very rarely do I loose with a chip advantage.

Made a good bit of money in SNGS and Cash tables tonight also.

Sunday Februray 21, 2010

Today was an up and down day for me. The highlight of my day came when I knocked out AceJones deep in the GFN Forum Wars. We had 4 people make the final table, and it was our first good showing....funny how that works when its a buy-in for more than a $1.

Retrospectively looking into the past games I feel that our team needs some sort of financial incentive to play our best. We have a lot of players who are very capable of playing to the FT...but I just do not think we took it serious enough prior.

I ended up cashing in the $150 Guaranteed today.

I also picked up a BLT ticket for this coming up weekend.

Ran a bunch of UT SNG's and played really well, but unfortunately alligator blood short stacks hit every 10% out on the river known to man. This resulted in me taking 3rd. Though I was profitable throughout these investments.

I really have been reducing my amounts of sleep. I took a nap for 2 hours at like 9am this morning until the crew cup at 11. I think I hit the alarm at least 4 times before I got out of bed. Deprivation ensued, I endured another all night grind. Its now 4:43 when I am writing this. I have been having a great time chatting with my fellow night owl Adriel, who is a follower. He is a great dude, and is always there for me. I think he watches more of my games, than he plays himself. To each his own. I actually watched Adriel play "poker" tonight...which is always fun...since he is usually playing blackjack or monopoly...very rarely does he actually see flops of his own.

I have also been bull shitting all through the night with my favorite aussie, Steve "Teach Em" Meachem. We have been up basically playing through the wee hours of the night. I usually don't blog like this, I try to stick to more a more informational approach. But these guys are my crew when it comes to grinders.

I also did some work on my bankroll management spreadsheet. It really needs to be used more consistently, and thoroughly...I do not have any excuses....but I do hope that I can be more diligent with tracking my games, profits, and losses through a wide spectrum of analytical mathematics.

One thing I heard tonight was that Ho is gonna run a new promotion for a small bankroll and lessons. From what I gather you will have to build a "Why do you think you deserve this" essay. I feel I do have a specific edge in obtaining this promotion. I am clearly involved with Rounders Radio, Poker Ho's Shows, and UB. I am not sure if I am gonna write an essay or do a video. I am still contemplating the tactics I will use to obtain these lessons, but I think I am starting to build up enough persuasive perspectives as to why I would be the best candidate. I eat, do not sleep, and breathe poker. I've read numerous books, articles, and forum posts that show my ongoing interest in pursuing applicable information. Since I have a hard time breaking the mold of a low stakes grinder I think I would gain the most benefit from pro lessons. I do not go to school, have a job, have many hobbies, or really do anything other than spend time with my girlfriend. I do plan on winning my WSOP package this year through UB's Step Program.

I am now blogging status reports, trying to keep track of all my buy ins, learning the ins and outs of my PT3, and scheduling for the entire week on a excel spreadsheet. Overall I would say that I have taken my game to an all new tier. One of my main goals for this year was to utilize my abilities in thinking by taking them into actions. I have had a lot of these ideas for over a year. Putting them into place, and staying committed to my plan of action is going to be a daunting task.

Someone in RoundersRadio chat said to me today, "Snake you are never happy with the way you play" in response to that I am not.

My never satisfied thirst to revolutionize each action and reaction I make shows the level of desire I have to persevere through the poker community. I am a passionate individual who will not take no for an answer. Kurt Warner was a trash man before he tried out to be a quarter back, Micheal Jordan was cut from his freshman high school basketball team, and Einstein failed high school math. What made these individuals who they became? The undaunted, unsatisfied, and unstoppable passion to do what it is that they loved. As time being the only unknown factor in my probability for succession, I feel as if each day I put one more piece into the puzzle. As to its completion will never be obtained, but soon I promise you will be able to see parts of the big picture.

Once again thank you for you're time, reply posts are truly appreciated. I feel gaining opinions from those around you is the best way to build a better total perspective. Hope you enjoy reading the blog, if you want me to specifically address a certain topic I would be more than happy to.

Wednesday February 17th

Back to Back 1st places in Slydawg and HPC.

Slydawgpoker Ticket really did me some good.

Overall I played great, I folded 3 PP early as the flop came out Axx. I folded two pair to a straight. I made a semi-bad play shoving J10s at the end. But I was still 60/40 so it was a classic race that I lost.

I played short stacked the entire game, staying in the bottom 10% for the last 110 people or so. I managed to slither my way through the field, and strike when it was needed to make it a few levels deep in the ITM.

I really want to thank Slydawg, TOG, Volcano, Cory, Milkman, and FoldingQueens for the rail....really made me feel good.

Won the crew cup event tonight.

I am one of Poker's Finest...that is for sure.

Pretty good night

Pretty good night for me overall. I ended up winning Sadies "Pull the Trigger" Game for the 2nd consecutive week. I end up winning a $26 token to take a shot at a FTOP 8 Qualifier. Not to mention taking the top 3 in the Slydawg game nets me a 10k ticket at UB. Kinda donked off my lead at the end of it all, but a few bad flips KK < 9x 99x board, and Ax vs QJ he hit the Q.........still happy with 3rd. Other than the end of the slydawg game I played really well.

Sunday was a wierd day for me. Made some money.

First off, I end up making the money in the $22 200k game, only to be sucked out by 6 outer rivers twice....both players made very ignorant plays and was reward for it.

Then I end up getting up to 50k in the daily dollar, but I run into AA twice with KK.

Then this tournament.

Took 1st place in Holdem Poker Chat 2/3/2010

Overall a great game by me. I got one lucky 3 outer on the river on the final table with KQ > AQ. Also one 6 outer at the very end of the game to take the last 3.5k from Talkpoker2me. Overall HU I played phenomenally, I made a lot of successful semi-bluffs. It appeared that she was just never really catching any big hands. I noticed 2 trends on her style of play about 10 hands into HU that really helped me gain my chip lead, and extend it.

I was like a 2-1.25 to start HU, and she managed to pull it about even early. I started doing some more aggressive position plays because it seemed like she was waiting for a monster to re shove and double. Slowly but surely I started picking off pots, and took a definite lead.

I bet 10k into a 10k pot, but there was a ton of draws on the turn. I had a set, and figured if he she called the bet I am still a favorite. But I was sure she was drawing to 8 outs.

Took 2nd Place @ Pokerspace 2/3/2010

Folded like 7 dominated hands HU, I just couldnt get the cards to ever win this. I made like 7 big bluff bets with air. Best hand I had in HU was either my KQ or 44 both of them I lost with.

Nothing much I can do, but take 2nd and shut up.

Lost a few private games, once again card dead towards the ladder stages......try to make a play and lose. Seems like a reoccurring dream for me. Called a complete air bet with JJ and dude turned his 5 outer. I hate loosing having someone call off all chips as a 4-1. I am hoping things turn around for me.

Good news though, I end up jumping onto a cash table with $4, and walk with $14. Which paid for all my UB games that I lost. Its about 1 am here, and I might still play a few more games. Not really tired.
